Picnic & Hike

After meeting this morning we packed a picnic lunch and went to this place near our house, Monson Village, that used to be a town back in the early 1700's. It has some open fields and trails through the woods that used to be the roads for the town. There are a few of the old cellar holes still there and one house that they have preserved. It was fun to eat outside and walk on some of the trails. It was fun to try and imagine and explain to the kids what it might have been like back in those times.

Paxton's School Program

Tonight was Paxton's Spring Music Program at school. The kids did a great job and it is fun to see what they have been working so hard on in school.

Baseball Game

We went to the New Hampshire Fishercats baseball game in Manchester at the end of Paxton's spring break from school. It was a nice evening and there were fireworks after the game. A good ending to a week off from school.

Wind Storm

A few weeks ago we have a very strong wind storm one afternoon. It dislodged the umbrella from its base at our table on the deck and blew it over onto the table, smashing the glass top of the table. It was a fun mess to clean up. Johanna had swept some of it up before I got home from work and then I used the shop vac to suck up the rest of it. We found it was cheaper to buy a new table than to replace the glass in the old one. So now we have an extra frame, maybe I'll cut a piece of plywood out for the old one and use it in the basement for an extra table.
